Just at the moment, this is how my life looks:

Start: Feeling fine, thanking God for the wonder of Cold and Flu tablets

Couple of hours later: Feeling the cold and flu tablets wear off. Headache starts returning, start feeling colder, forehead starts feeling warmer. Think to myself: we’ll see how long we can hold out before we feel like we need another tablet.

45 minutes later: Realise that I can’t hold out anymore. Devour the cold and flu tablets like they’re lollies and sit back, expecting the magic to happen.

2 minutes later: Remember that the tablets usually take about an hour to kick in. Start swearing at my own stupidity for not taking the tablet earlier

10 minutes later: In a daze. No longer capable of basic function. Everything aches. No amount of clothes is enough to stop me from feeling like I am nude in an Antarctic blizzard.

30 minutes later: Aching has just about died down. Starting to feel like I’m warming up, forehead starting to cool down. Have enough co-ordination to get myself a drink of water.

15 minutes later:
Return to start and continue process

Really looking forward to not having this flu.

Disclaimer: Don’t worry if the times don’t quite add up – I’m only taking the exact recommended dosage. I wouldn’t in any circumstances recommend taking cold and flu tablets more often than you are supposed to. Just had to put that out there.
