At least the season hasn’t been wasted

There has been very few occasions to celebrate this season. But if we’ve managed to cost Collingwood either their spot in the top 4, or even better: their spot in the top 8 then at least we can know that this season hasn’t been a complete waste of time. Deledio has kicked 5 goals and in a rare moment of actually trying something from Terry Wallace: we threw Polak forward at the opening bounce and the only man holding the tigers together at the moment (Nathan Foley – what a star) delivered to him beautifully.

You’d take a win over Collingwood as fair trade for three wins of other sides.
A rare moment of joy in a horrific car-crash of a season.
GO TIGES!

I’d say it would be worth maybe even four. Though I’d have to say beating the Eagles or Dockers is better because I have to put up with their feral fans all year round.

Polak is starting to kick straight…so someone at Richmond is doing something right. I reckon Wallace outcoached Malthouse on Friday with some inspired moves…and Richmond played four quarters.

Can Richmond PLEASE win next week??

    In a word Mark: No.

This guy gets what it’s all about:

“All year, something had been missing. But hereabouts, definitions are important. And, as any Richmond fan can tell you, the definition of a successful season is not one in which you make the finals. It is a season in which you beat Collingwood. To beat Carlton and Essendon as well constitutes a super season. “

Now we’ve just got to take care of Essendon and the season would be complete.

Not-top-4 playing Sydney in an elimination final. I’d like to see that.
