Finally some recognition…

The list of things I have to do before I die just got one item shorter. After years of toiling without recognition from the print media internationally, Time Magazine has named their “Person of the Year” – me. Or more specifically, “you”. From the article:

“Yes, you. You control the Information Age. Welcome to your world.”

Ach! Another falls to the prey of Time Magazine. Imagine how many links in they’re getting from bloggers!

It screams intelligent indulgence. The IT guy sitting in front of his stats will be having a field day. I don’t deny it, watching numbers climb is a some what exhilarating experience.

Wow the page takes forever to load… Chrysler also wins brownie points for a full screen advert pre-person of the year.

If it wasn’t the first ‘non-individual’ person of the year thing it’d be quite insulting… maybe it still is.

(or I’m just very angry at my car and I’m taking it out on the first thing that happens to present itself)

The question is, now that we’re all famous – how do we handle the autographs and the paparazzi?

I was really thrilled to finally win this. “Time” has been ignoring me for years. Congratulations on your win as well.
