or, more accurately, not. My iPod has returned, in the form of a brand new one. They might have taken a while to get it back to me, but I couldn’t be much happier now!
Hi Geoff,
what do you reckon the future for Ipods is?
I ask this question because recently I have got an O2 Pda smart phone.
It plays every music file and video file you could want, and is also my phone, organiser, bible and PDA.
Would I want to carry around, while jogging (!) a Ipod as well as a phone?
I notice a stack of phones are now coming out with MP3 players ibuilt as well as slots for expandable memory.
Is the Ipod going to die a death similar to the BETA video player??
I’m not so sure that the iPod is dead just yet. Apple are innovating fairly regularly, and I think they’re still well ahead of the pack. Most of the devices that offer the really wide variety of functions, don’t make it anywhere near as easy to just play music. And with the way that the iPod accessory market has gone insane, I think it’s a fair assumption to say that the iPod has got a fair bit of life in it yet.
