Matter of fact, if you sign up with Dreamhost and use "GEOFF1" as the promo code, you should be able to get a pretty sweet discount!

Christina - because of some sweet deal with a referral code (which I don't think is valid anymore) I paid about US$10 for the first years hosting and domain (packaged). That's got about 24GB of storage and 1TB transfer per month. Apparently for the next year it'll cost a fair bit more (like about $90 US I think). But it also lets me host as many domains as I like, so for Bec to sit on my hosting, all we had to do was register the domain and host it on the same service.

I have a confession - somehow your poll let me vote twice so I skewed the "no" votes ... but somehow I don't feel sorry, I feel I have rescued you from mediocrity and helped you toward greatness.

Hey Geoff, I have had blog envy since learning Beck has her own domain etc. How much does your hosting cost?

I keep toying with the idea of getting my own domain but all the associated costs seem to mount up and I head back to Blogger again with my tail between my legs.
